hoodpins....again lol
The car looks the same except I blacked out the sidemarkers, ditched the bowtie center caps, and the front grill is all black.
ok I'm set on two sets of pins but I need opinions on which to get.
These:
Or this other set which unfortunately doesn't have a picture:
It's the same as the previous except everything is black.
Discuss...

I think the 1st set has a better quality look to it with the Chrome Pin. The all Black 2nd model would have a plastic look to the pin and would it chip off with use?. Any hood pin that was ever installed on a Factory car was Chrome, so the Black base fits in nice with the body color, but you need the Chrome Pin to let it stand out a little.

yeah agree with the others, if you are going to do it then do the chrome ones and make it stand out. if not then i would just leave it, cars looks great the way it is too.

im not a fan of hood pins for 1 reason. around here everyone thinks if you got hood pins and a cowl hood you got some kinda killer. i loveeee the look of pins. i would just never put them on because i dont want people to be "scared" of my car

while those cables are cool on some cars.......the beat the HELL out of the paint on the front of the car. if your someone that forgets things a lot and might forget to put your pins back in, or where you put them while they are out, then they are useful, other than that its just dangerous on the paint

Thanks for the opinions, I think I'll go with the pictured pins (black scuff plate/stainless pin/clip)
I'm getting them for their function because right now going down the highway I see the hood wobbling side to side and I see stress cracks. I don't really care about people thinking I might have something under the hood, eventually I will, but for now I'd have the pins for a legitimate reason lol.
I agree with Mike about the lanyards, I would just have the clips by themselves.
Paul, at $150, I'm sticking to only buying one set

personally i'm not a fan of hoodpins on thirdgen's however, I am currently thinking of getting a hood like yours. I hate the thought of a freshly painted hood flexing and cracking.
When you get them installed tell us if it stops the flexing.
Oh yea.....that is one sweet third gen....hope mine comes out as nice
