5.3 tune

I recently bought a 05 1500, with the 5.3, i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get it tuned and roughly how much it would run me?

Im just curious at this point as to what my options are and how much they will cost

What kind of tune are you looking for? A economy tune, or like a towing tune?

A tune will probably run $250-350. I got the Diablosport Predator for my 01 5.3 for $275 shipped. I can adjust for different tire size, firm up the shift, shift rpm, shift mph, injector slope to correct A/F for better mpg, a separate set of settings for the tow/haul mode, etc. It's not as good as a custom tune but it made a difference in mpg and corrected the speedo for bigger tires.

A street tune... Pretty much one that will up my line pressure for firmer shifts, give me a little bit more horsepower, and get me a few more mpg

Sounds like what Im looking at for the most part. Id like a custom tune but having the ability to adjust it myself is also really appealing.

I like how you can change shift rpm and mph. Id like my trans to be able to shift down to 1st also. Seems most of the time it'll only go to 2nd

Matt at Tune Time did my 03' Yukon and it was like a different truck when he was done. I plan on bringing my Escalade to him, he knows his stuff when it comes to tuning.

Honestly, I had it done 4 years ago and it was like $300. I wouldn't be surprised if the price has gone up since then but I will say I would have paid more given the results.
