no you didnt because i was there when you went 15.0 full weight, so if you took 200 lbs outa the car or even 100 you shoulda hit 14s, if it aint broke dont fix it

yea well i didn't touch the motor...i took weight out and ran a 15.4. I tweaked the carb and timing and cut it down to a 15.1. friday I'm putting in a rear and changing the old beat coil and maybe we'll see some thing decent

I don't know...it ran like crap after the day I ran the 15.0, I think the coil took a dump. I hope, it might be a bent rod cause it has a mild miss fire that i cant get rid of

I really wouldn't believe a bent connecting rod is the source of your misfire.

You got the factory coil over cap HEI with computer Controlled advance?

plugs fine? wires are good and not arc'ing anywhere? cap and rotor (just make sure the pins are clean). Wouldn't believe its the coil. Try a new ign. module for the heck of it. they are cheap.

and the reason you didnt diagnose that before you went and beat the **** out of it at the track was?

just get rid of the car and get a civic before you destroy another F Body.

pfft...that car is more rust than metal, and you know that. I've got some toys I'm picking up tomorrow morning. I'm changing the coil to an Accel super coil, and seeing if the misfire stops. I had an issue with a coil putting out insufficient voltage before, I'm pretty sure thats all it is. then I'm gonna spend another little bit under the car and put in the toy I got and back to atco tomorrow night...
