May Car of the Month Submissions

Anyone can post one picture of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.

Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).

If you have submitted a car in the past, but were not selected as a winner, feel free to submit another pic. You can continue to enter each month until you win.

GET THOSE SUBMISSIONS IN!!!

This is my 2001 WS6 M6. I have owned it since 2004. It is lowered with Strano springs and Koni adjustable shocks. I have torque thrust II's all the way around 17x9 up front and 17x11 in the back with 315's. I have only done basic bolt-ons under the hood such as a lid, long tubes, strut tower brace, off road Y-pipe, and a tune. I recently paid it off so more mods are in the near future! -Matt Loy

Matt Kohler
1995 Z28. Owned it since senior year of high school, has about 75k miles on it and never had to change an opti. Pretty much a bolt on car with heads/cam and nitrous. On the list of things to do are new tires and pull the engine to change gaskets etc.

2002 z28. m6, t-tops, black leather. I bought the car just over 2 years ago with 18,500 miles on it. It now has 33,000. It's only got an SLP lid, Flowmaster muffler, and Lou's Short Stick with factory Hurst shifter. Best et of 12.712 @ 109.76 mph on BFG KDWS. I bought the car to be my non-raced car, but that didn't last long after I realized 12s were within reach.

This is my 88 GTA. The car left the factory with t-tops, digital dash, and a 305 tip. This was my first car which I bought when I was 16. It was my daily driver during high school and during my senior year I decided I wanted to restore the car. I painted it in my drive way the original Flame Red metallic and restored the interior and detailed the engine bay. I brought the car back to 100% stock. I plan to keep this car forever and someday do a rotisserie restoration on it.

I'm sorry, however your girlfriend will have to register on the site and post her own car up in order to be considered for Car of the Month. The rules state that members can only post up cars that belong to them.

Names Matt Westerfield. This is my 2000 Pontiac Trans Am, color is pewter silver, 6 speed manual. This is my daily driver. Got the car in July 2008 and since ive had the car ive installed a stock hurst shifter with a classic hurst knob, gmmg chambered catback, new plugs and wires. On my taillight center section i redid it to have a 30th anniv decal on it just perfer the look of that over the red bird and letters. Enjoy every moment of it. Get compliments on the color, how clean it is and how well it sounds for just a catback.

Rob Howard
2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 M6

I bought the car from a dealership that I work at for $13,500 with 14,500 miles. She has no T-Tops, manual door locks, manual windows. Doesn't even have a trunk release button. I bought her because my white 95 Z was a piece of junk. Broke every time I drove it, lol. Plus it was a good deal. I've always wanted a Camaro, and now I have the one of my dreams! It's so nice to be able to pull in somewhere and have people come over and ask what's done and how good the car looks.

Mods:Free "Cold Air" mod, SLP Lid, K&N Air Filter, SLP Smooth Bellow, Coolant Bypass, Pacesetter LT's, Pacesetter Off-road 3" Y-pipe, A.I.R. Delete, Skip Shift Eliminator, 160* Thermostat, UMI Subframe Connectors, 2002 SS Wheels w/ 275/40 - 17 BF Goodwrich g-force T/A KDW tires, UMI Lower Control Arms, TSP 233/239 Cam, Patriot Gold Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Push Rods, TSP ported LS6 Oil Pump ,LS2 Timing Chain, 3" Custom True Duals, Tuned by PSI Motorsports, Whistler Mod

My name is Brett and this is my 2001 SS. It is number 350 of 6,331. 811 of which were Navy Blue. I bought this car a little over two and a half yrs. ago. It had 63,000 miles on it and was stock as could be. I have since made it just a little less than stock. It now has an Ls6 cam, rockers, springs. Underdrive pulley, Granetelli intake lid, Magnaflow cat back. Suspension is just Eibach pro-kit 1" drop and Kyb Gas-adjust struts. Coming soon hopefully LCA's , Headers, high flow cat, heads and intake.....hopefully.

My name is Rob Cavanaugh. The car is a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta with 78,000 original miles. This car was opted with a 350 four barrel from the factory. Originally the car was Cameo white with a light blue interior. I bought this car in the fall of 2005 when I was just 16 years old. I spent just under two years working on cloning this car to be a Z28. I rebuilt the engine in the winter of 2005-2006. I repaired all of the rust and did all the body work out in my driveway during the summer of 2006. I added the teardrop scoop, the flares, and the spoiler using templates I made up myself. I recovered all the seats and painted all of the interior pieces during the winter of 2006-2007. The only thing that I personally didn't do was paint the car. Other than that, I got the car all set for paint and even painted all the jams including the hood and both doors. I also applied all of the decals to the car when the car got back from paint.
