After a rough start realizing my argon was empty, snagged a new fill at lunch today

After a lot of going back and forth with myself.. decided to cut. Will need to figure out top mounts, but bottom is mounted to lower rad support. Gotta finish up the hose roughing in then take everything out to clean up edges and weld hotside.

Top mounts seem simple enough to make. Could even consider something like what I did on the blue bird. How much more better should the fancy elbow flow?

And the heads, machine shop found some lovely gems from the previous owner of these heads
