But I think that they should have went with a whole new design, still applying the usual trademarks. ie: not taking the design from the 67-69 camaros, and making a whole new car. Dont get me wrong, I think it looks killer, but its and acquired taste if you ask me, and Iam still in the acquiring the taste.

But whatever, I dont dislike it. I just would have liked to see a little thirdgen in the new design  LOLOL

Well, I like to think that there is some third gen in there. Fender flares have a third genish look to them, as no other fbody did have them outside of 67-68.
Long nose and short deck also returns after the dustbuster 4th gens destroyed that look.

I was a BIG Anti-Retro Camaro guy. When I went out there 3 years ago almost to the day, I loved the design but wanted a more modern European-esque GT style design. Somehwere between an Aston Martin, Ferrari 612, and a Corvette.

A lot of 1st gen guys don't like it because it doesn't look enough like a 1st gen. LOL

I've seen so many pics of this car that it just doesn't do anything for me anymore. I have to see it in person.

Same guys who's ages range from 50-80 and probably need glasses...
I hate to hear that. "Doesnt look like a first gen."
There is NO other car that it looks like.
If anything, it looks like a Camaro.

I dont feel like reading through all this to see if anyone asked yet, but, how did that guy get that car already?

BigAls87Z28 01-10-2009 10:28 PM

No one did. A GM engineer was driving it from Oshawa to Florida and back to work on any bugs. The car was then shown at a dealer in Florida, where these guys met up the GM engineer and his wife to take pictures, and even drive the car.
These are the final stages of testing, working out the small things, finding the little problems, ironing out the crap before launch.
