this is a pic of the fuel pump the hose in the middle is the return hose from the tank. how am i suppose to connect it.

if i remember correctly those wires look like they went to the carb and you can pull them off to the side and not worry about them. the question is did you change the distributor or leave the oem the one in there.

You also shouldn't have to hook up a return line to the fuel pump.

A further back pic would help a little better with the linkage for the carb

bump

Try and take a picture of the distributor, and your best bet is to plug that line with something otherwise your gonna get vapors creeping under the hood

I have 3 vacuum hoses coming out of the bottom of the carb. Where do I connect the lines to ,pvc valve?

BobonaStick 05-30-2009 01:01 PM

you can use the large vacuum port in the rear of the carb for the brake booster, the one in the front for the pvc valve but you have to make sure you have a good valve or it will seem like you have a vacuum leak.

cool ima go do that now. theres another hose on the carb next to the one infront. its on the passenger side.

UserName 05-31-2009 04:43 PM

oh yea the distributor i have does not have a vacuum line.

BobonaStick 06-06-2009 04:22 PM

you need to get a vacuum advance distributor for it to work without a computer

Does it have a large cap distributor with the coil in the cap or the small one with the remote mounted coil?

Its the big pack on top of the cap. Well I got the car to crank yesterday but it doesn't want to crank over. Any ideas

Finally got the car to crank ovr. So happy so proud. So loud. But I still need to tweek it.

HeadlessNorseman 06-12-2009 06:47 PM

so your trying to get the car to run by cutting wires?

On another note, the CC carb works fine without the plug. It shouldnt have that many wires going to it, just a single plug and the hookup for the electric choke. What exactly is wrong with the car? If it cranks over and your getting spark wiring isnt the problem

You still need a new one. The electronic one will be stuck at one timing with the computer to run it. You need any old GM HEI distributor, and you might as well get a cap and rotor if not a whole rebuilt kit while its out. Plus thats one less thing to worry about
