|
need a couple more, draft is approaching fellas
|
im in.
Urine Trouble is that Draft time and date set in stone?? aug 25th at 5pm?? cause thats gonna be a little tuff if people are working still...like myself..lol. Edit: sorry, just saw it says Pdt..i take it thats Pacific time which would make it 8 oclock here right? |
yea i think it is 8pm, it is not set in stone though i just put it in to register, once we have a full league we can change it if need be
|
a friend of mine signed up, we are at 11, one more and we can draft on time.
also, i just found out i actually have plans on the random day in august that i picked to do the draft, so i am thinking the next day, thursday august 26th, same time 8pm. if that is a huge issue for anyone please pm me or post up. |
either day is good for me.
|
After the 20th, I'm done with work and back to school so my schedule gets freed up at the end of the month.
|
Tuesday the 24th would be better for me. Hard for me to get more than a couple minutes in front of the computer on Thursdays and Fridays.....
- Justin |
ill be at work tuesday the 24th so no computer for me
|
I talked to my brother-in-law today. He says he's going to sign up again, but is waiting to see where some of his other drafts fall. I told him to do it soon, so we'll see what happens.
As for me, I have another league that's doing their draft on Aug 31 at 8:15pm. So as long as it doesn't conflict with that anytime should be good for me. |
we have one spot left, and need to fill it or they wont let us draft... John let me know what your brother in law says whenever you get a chance to talk to him
|
No problem. He's been away this past week but will be back tomorrow. I'll see if I can get a hold of him this weekend.
|
alright it looks like we are full... now, the 12 people that are in can decide on stakes, i know 20 and 25 have both been mentioned, im fine with whichever, as is my buddy from off the forum, as soon as i hear from the other 10, we can decide on the payment method...
as far as pay breakdown, i am thinking of doing it the same way i do home poker games... third place gets their money back, then first and second split the rest 70/30 that is also open to opinions |
$20 or $25 is fine with me, really don't have the extra cash on hand to go higher than that though.
That payout sound good to me. - Justin |
ok...ill consider you a yes for 25 then in my tally...lol
|
im fine with $25.00.
payout is ok aswell. are we gonna charge anything for Add/drops?? |
what do you mean

BTW, I am cool with $25. |
wow, i thought it said "change anything" for the adds and drops... ive never done a league that way, but am willing to if everyone else is... might be a little harder with football with the regularity of season ending injuries
|
Yeah, I've never done it in a football league. Only in baseball. However, I don't think the injuries should be too much of a problem. In my baseball league I had 3 of my top draft picks have season ending injuries or 4 month DL stays. I've added/drop guys and still have $122 left for the rest of the season.

there's a few ways to do it. like ls1hawk said, you give every team a set money value for teh entire year and every week if there is a free agent they want than they place a bid on him. the free agent goes to the highest bidder. after you spend all of your imaginary money on free agents you can no longer pick them up so you need to use your money wisely.
what this prevents is the monday morning scavenger scooping up all the free agents at 7am in the morning when they unlock. basically so some teams can stack themselves up. in my cash leagues we have to pay $2.00 per transaction (real money) and it goes into the pot for any add/drops and $5.00 for trades...lol..but those leagues are based on your waiver order...the better your team is the higher up you are on the waiver order which means you have less of a chance of gettting a good player. but, i was just wondering. if we dont do anything like that than its no big deal. |
there isnt an option for that on yahoo to be done automatically... you can do a weekly limit or season limit on waiver moves though
