I've been lucky about my exhaust never have been bothered. Lots of compliments though from strangers.
I get worried after I already recieved a ticket for something else when I have to start my car and pull off and merge with highway speeds. . . . always feel there gonig to pull me over for the exhaust. |

it also depends on what kind of cop it is. when cops in my town(im friends with literly all of them) pull me over i sometimes leave them smoked out lol town cops only pull my over when they get complains(ie: when i leave for work at 6am) and they tell me to try to keep it quiet. but last week we were bored in the stop n shop parking lot in my town at like 2am and we were running 6 parking spot drag races lol the cops came, asked what we were doing, watched for a little, and then told us to go home. |
That's an awesome story! I agree, make sure you put it in before he sees you again...he knows you have no excuse to not have one now :)

Cops around my area are partial to Jeeps sadly.. it must be a Jeep thing. Although.. I was pulled over last November because the cop wanted to see what me and another member of this board were doing taking pictures of our cars in a mall parking lot. The cop ended up asking me questions about my little V6 and he proceeded to tell me about his times in a WS6 doing 150 and would of kept going except he ran out of room. I've also ran around some of the south meets here and seen cops generally favorable to American muscle as well, but very strict towards the import drivers.. I guess both sides have seen F&F?
As for the OP, you my good sir are blessed to of met such a public servant. |
Awesome story and cool cop!
**** like that doesnt happen to me......and I wish all cops were into cars. Back in ~2002 I got pulled over in Wall twp in my Camaro. I thought I was in luck since I just so happen to get pulled over by their brand new LS1 Camaro!!!..... He lied and said I was speeding. When i refused to agree with him and told him it was impossible since I literally just came from a 4 way and made a left 50 feet before his hiding spot, he made me wait in my car for TWENTY MINUTES while he pulled out a book and must have looked for any violations he could get me with. I ended up getting: -obstruction of view (No, not for my 4" cowl hood, for my radar detector. -no front plate (it was on my dash) -unclear plates (SLP license plate frame on rear covers where it says "garden state") -unsafe tires (Nitto 555R's with some tread lol) -failure to produce documents ( I had no registration on me, however, i was pulled over the prior day and had already gotten a ticket for it. I was on my way to DMV, he didnt care) ....and than tells me he's cutting me a break and not giving me a speeding ticket ( break my ass, I was never speeding and he knew it) Anyway, the cop you ran into is def cool as hell man. Above and beyond. |
^ Never disagree w/a cop..they have the upper hand and disagreeing w/them does no good...do that stuff in court if you want to con-test it, but it looks like someone pissed him off enough to cite you for radar detector and plate frame..the rest could warrant legit tickets though.

its lika a catch 22 man, if I agreed with him that I was speeding, than they have me on record admitting guilt.
|
I fought with a cop when I was 19... he said i was doing 65 in a 25 (route 22 pa-nj bridge)...I admitted I was going 45 and the eclipse that was whipping past me was going faster.....the cop admitted that he probably recorded his speed and not mine, but he already called it in, and he "didn't like the Chevy sound since he was a 03 cobra owner"
Needless to say I got a healthy ticket and ended up with a bunch of crap because of it....my insurance is still punishing me for it |
