If they got ride of Terminator, I think there would be protests. lol. That ride it too damn cool to be taken away. Although it would be cool to see the teletubbies on screen with the Terminator getting their tinky winkies blown away by Arnold. lol. |

I remember for one year, during the Haunted Halloween thing, they stopped the King Kong ride, and you had to walk around the city below trying to escape zombies :D that was kick ass. |

I once had to do the same with the people mover or segway ride at Magic Kindom. The one where it takes you past Space mountain in the dark. The ride broke down and we had to walk on the thin side walk and actually climb down a ladder. Kind of weird. Not sure what they would have done if there was anyone handicapped. I remember that day, it seemed like every ride I went on broke at the Magic Kingdom. I got many fast passes that day that allowed my family and I to cut in front of anyone at my will. I also got to see the inside of Space Mountain with the lights on in that people mover ride. It looks just like one of those small coasters you'd see on a NJ shore boardwalk. Did anyone hear about a guy who got decapitated on Space Mountain? I heard that the person sitting next to him didn't even know it happened since it happened in the dark and by the time the ride came towards the end, the guy's head wasn't on his body. I think it happened in the early 90s or late 80s. I do remember it being the guy's fault though. Apparently he stood up when he wasn't supposed to. Whoever sat next to him must have needed years of psychological help. |

I tell ya, even if it is a myth, I remember one year when I went to Disney and Universal, when our family all came back to the timeshare we were staying at, we'd see on TV that a young child got his leg caught in the gears of that Epcot Ball ride, another kid died from that Spaceshuttle launch simulation because of a heart condition, and many old timers got heart attacks on the rides. Not to say its the theme parks fault, but still, its amazing how much bad stuff can happen at the parks. I mean sure its the people faults most of the time, but what a sad thing to happen at a happy theme park.
I remember last summer I heard of a girl who got her legs chopped right off riding a ride. Something happened at a Six Flags in Alabama or somewhere near there and a cable snapped on one of the rides and severed the little girl's legs right off and there were other kids sitting next to her on the ride when it happened. Sad stories. |
