Would you drive a car/truck with 19 year old tires?

Not a high performance car/truck but just some regular vehicle that was 19 years old, had less than 10K miles and had the original tires (and it was garaged).

If I had no other choice then yes as its better than walking.

I would drive it to the tire store

depends on how dry rotted they are... if they are kept out of the sun they should be fine. obviously wouldn't hurt to have them inspected/balanced/roadforced

How much are we planning on driving it? I had 10-11 year old tires on the Z that you look as good as new being garage kept and only used 5-10 times a year, but were definitely becoming hard and gripped less.

tires on my 88 camaro are from 2006, maybe a couple thousand miles on em, still look new, ride new, always garage kept.

Tires on my Camaro are from 2013, I believe. They spent some time in the garage and some time in sun. Still don't look too cracked but I'll probably swap them out soon anyway.

Burnouts don't care how old the tires are!
