whoops. I got about 1 mile from my house and car just shut off. I looked behind me and saw a trail of fluid. Put my hand in it and it was black, so my heart sank. I smelled it and it was def fuel. Checked oil, was perfectly fine. Car still cranked. I then heard gushing lol. Checked under car saw a spot. Called Larry for an idea he said "drivers front of rear? check fuel filter". sure enough, line was popped off the filter . White clip was still on the filter. I shoved it back on and it obviously fired right up. Drove it home... hopefully will be able to make it to Larrys :bertstare:

Back at Larry's.

New window motors and regulators
PS leaking at rack somewhere
Ebrake cable needs to be secured better
Check the fuel filter quick disconnect
Maybe subframe connectors - idk though
Rear diff fluid change
Dial in idle - doesn't like parking lot maneuvers.

Yeah I'm still debating it. Lol I keep hearing conflicting opinions on them.

I have a vert but if I were to do things over again, 3 pt sfcs would be the first thing I would do to another fbody above all else, suspension, energy, anythingwise.

Just as Anti Rice Guy says, it is everyone's #1 recommended suspension upgrade

Strano seems to think otherwise lol that's why I'm on the fence.

wretched73 06-01-2023 03:32 PM

yeah, that must be bmr (a lot of folks don't think much of them). Sam works with UMI on a lot of stuff.

I saw a parts rundown on Sams 4th gen. The one that none of us can catch on an autocross. IIRC he might have won a national championship in that car. I've watched him run past some high dollar stuff. Anyway, I don't think he has SFCs on them. Also might be a hardtop car, I forget.

Yep his car is insanely setup. He thinks SFCs are not needed if all your suspension is refreshed. he said if SFCs helped you, your car has bad bushings, shocks, springs, etc.

Blackbirdws6 06-05-2023 03:21 PM

Lot of talk of SFCs and nothing about applying boost to the build.

If this motor goes boom I might do that. For now no power adders

Mine and sheds car say otherwise.

ThoR294 11-07-2023 10:55 PM

well damn cars been there for 5 months LOL

ThoR294 01-05-2024 09:56 PM

Car is back after another bunch of money thrown at it. Runs good now and is really fun over 4500rpm.

Back in the garage to wait till spring. Definitely gotta upgrade the brakes.

ThoR294 04-15-2024 07:18 PM

Fired it up the other day, didn't drive it yet. Gotta stretch it legs around town before I huff it down to woodbridge.

Did I mention I shoulda just bought a 16-17 SS instead?

Guess it needs an alternator. Drives nice though really fun upstairs

ThoR294 05-06-2024 06:39 PM

Still have to do brakes. Idle needs adjusting a bunch. Good otherwise
