Some pics of the white base for my attempt at real flames. The back of car not so bad. The front kinda fell away from flamelike to a Holly tree look. I dont know, but I still like it.

These are pics with the blue over the white base. This is basically how it will look. The design will stand out a little bit more with the clear on it. Those pics will be posted tomorrow the last day of paint project.

damn, looks awsome man ! definately can't wait to see the final result !

Rich189 01-10-2008 06:03 AM

looks awsome does it continue all the way down the front bumper? it looks like it stops at the end of the hood.. i think it may look even better if it continued

Scorched SS 01-10-2008 09:29 AM

Nice job man! One suggestion... if you throw another layer on there, it'll definitely give it more depth!

the ONLY thing i dont like is that the outline of the stripe is cutting off some of the flames. are you going to put a pinstripe on it like normal racing stripes, because that might cut down the effect of what im seeing.

DaSkinnyGuy 01-10-2008 01:27 PM

HAHa before you started painted I mentioned the stripes would have some type of flame effect in them. Well I was right.

the stripe actually stops just before the end of the hood and hatch with rounded corners i couldnt afford to repaint the bumpers also.

It is getting a silver pinstripe, had to go on after the clear its enamel pin stripe. Might make it just an outline or a barbed wire look. Let me know all your opinions on the stripe I have plenty of time to decide on that

perfect...... maybe photoshop the barbed wire on first because it may look busy with that and the flames. but a contrasting border will fix the cut off that my eyes are pulling out for some reason
