I had no intention on selling the truck, but an opportunity at work has presented itself which would allow me to get a 2013 Mercedes C300 4-matic at a fantastic price.
If I get the new benz then I have no need for the Explorer. Spec's: 2001 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 L SOHC V6 5 speed auto tranny Automatic Four Wheel Drive (knob for auto, 4WD High, and 4WD low) 210 HP 240 TQ Blue exterior Grey leather interior Truck is very clean! Truck has every option available except for the eddie bauer edition 4:10 gears for the towing package Factory prewired for brake lights for a trailer Power sun roof Roof rack Cruise control Brand new tires in January 2010 Dunlop A/T Radial Rover 255/70/16 Pioneer radio with in dash CD player - removable face plate - satallite radio ready - I don't have satallite radio on it but it says sat radio ready on the face plate Multi disc CD changer in center console I Pod hook up in the glove box Pre-wired for a sub woofer - needs amp and box Vehicle currently has 148,XXX miles. I've done a full tune up on the truck and added some small tweaks to improve braking, handling, ride, power and fuel economy Royal Purple Motor Oil Royal Purple Front differential fluid Royal Purple Rear differential fluid Royal Purple Transfer Case fluid Royal Purple Ice fluid for the radiator Brake fluid flushed - new DOT 3 fluid K&N Drop in air filter Air silencer removed Champion copper plugs 8.2 MM taylor spark plug wires Stock replacement PCV valve Stock replacement fuel filter Stock replacement wipers Repaired passenger side rear window motor - window works fine now Replaced the stock head light bulbs with a brighter sylvannia improved night vision bulb EBC slotted and dimpled brake rotors front AND rear OEM brake pads changed 1 month ago Both front calipers and drivers side rear have been replaced 1 month ago Vent window shades for front and rear windows New leather wrapped center console cover X-Spec suspension package from www.explorerexpress.com Consists of the following: Edlebrock front shocks Edlebrock rear shocks Bigger rear sway bar with poly bushings I also added poly bushings to the stock front sway bar What does the truck need: 1) Rear wiper arm spring is shot so it needs a new wiper arm to allow the wiper to fully touch the glass - this is approx $25 from rock auto 2) When I removed the wiper arm I stripped the threading to the wiper motor grrr - even though the wiper motor works, there is no threading left to put a new wiper arm so it needs a new wiper motor - this is approx $100 through rock auto According to KBB, private sale is approximately $4500. Price - $4500 OBO - price is negotiable as I would prefer to drive a Benz vs the truck ;) Pic's: Attachment 6633 Attachment 6634 Attachment 6635 Her is a link to more pic's but they are from 2010 - I need to update the pic's - I'll work on it this weekend http://www.bbbracing.com/12secondv6/Explorer/ |
