Leaking trans pan
I had my trans rebuilt by performabuilt awhile back and the trans pan started to leak recently. I had a spare lying around so I installed it instead of trying to play iron smith. Lasted about a week and that one started to leak. Did I mention we just had our driveway repaved and is one of the wife's pet peeves?
And no, I didn't follow tightening sequence or torque specs. So I looked around and found this on ebay. Looks like a real nice piece and comes polished, price was right too. I also added a magnet to the drain plug. Will be installing this today. https://www.ebay.com/itm/181977833481 |
I am confused, if you admit you didn't follow proper installation process, what is a new pan going to change?

be verrrrrry aware that the drain plug bolt head will now be the lowest part of your pan, and if it scrapes pavement/object in road it is most susceptible to being torn off/damaged. especially so if this pan is deeper than stock depth. just be aware of it thats all

It will have to wait until the future now. |
