Anyone Know About C4 Vette Values?

Hey all,
I know someone with an '89 Vette they want to sell. It's an L98/6-speed car with approx. 110K miles (maybe a bit less). The outside is in nice shape with an updated '91 rear bumper, but the interior needs some TLC (worn leather seats). I think it runs OK - I know he had an issue a while back with the car stalling when hot (I was thinking ICM or pickup coil) but I'm not sure if it's fixed. Any idea what something like this is worth? I've never researched 'Vettes because I can't fit my family in one. ;)

ive seen the earlier ones (80s sbc gen 1) going for around 5-6k. the lt1 seems to be commanding in the upper 8s and coming in over 10 for really clean ones. lt4's ive seen going for around 12's to mid teens. zr1s ive seen as low as 18k with 22-24k being the ballpark. obviously verts command more money than the targa/coupes do, about 1500 more than standard ones.

id say 5k area

the interiors seem to be the short fall of the earlier c4's, they always need work. and 110k is high for a vette, however it is a 6spd... so id say 5 to 6k range depending on paint/fiberglass condition

have values bottomed on these cars or are they still dropping?

well the fact that ive seen c5 prices falling dramatically you can only expect that the c4's are going to fall down even more...especially being the bastard middle child of the group...not commanding the following of the c3's and not having the technology of the c5's. the c4's were just mediocre (base models at least).

ive seen c4's as low as 2500 for a running/driving example for 84/85/86 model years

The good thing about the '89 is that it was no longer the DN transmission cluster****.

I'd say around 7000-7500 depending on paint.
