Jackson Outlets Cruise Nights Have Been Relocated

As some you may know, over the past few years, the monthly cruise nights at the Jackson Outlets have drawn thousands of cars and people from all over the tri-state area. The Outlets decided that they didnt like all of the great business they were getting on those nights, and canceled them this year. The good news is that the Fossils Car Club has relocated their monthy shows to The Shoppes at Hamilton. If you have never been to one of their monthly shows, it is an amazing experience. There are just rows apon rows apon rows of stunning top noch cars.

Here is the official announcement from The Fossils:

The Fossils Cruise Night is back!

The Fossils will be holding their monthy cruises this summer. Yes I know I told you that the Outlets canceled us. But through some hard work on our part we found a shopping center that really wants us. The cruise nights will be held at the Shoppes at Hamilton. There are 4 resturants there and 25 other stores. It is located on Rte 130 North in Hamilton Township. About 2-3 miles south of I-195. Check out their website http://www.theshoppesathamilton.com/ for directions. See you April 29 for our first cruise. The only thing that changes is the location. There is very limited trailer parking. Please pass on this to all our friends.

The Fossils
I figure this would be a pretty cool place to get a meet going. Plenty of food and cars to go around.

Good news for the Hamilton crew.

Doesn't look like they have an affliction or ed hardy store... ehhhh

At least this place has food. They just opened a Cheeburger Cheeburger, there is a Nathans and some chain Italian place that is not bad (as in not puke inducing like an olive garden). That is one think I hated about Jax, no food worth eating. However, this place is much smaller and a good Jackson night might overload this place. I suspect they may outgrow this fast. And they may watch their year cutoff a lot more.

Very interesting! Turning around is always fun on Rt 130 in that area, it is going to be tough for cars to navigate the 195 to Rt 130 south, then loop around north. You have to take the Yardville/Groveville exits and overpasses, but they are not newbie freindly! I will plan on going to some of these just to check it out. Will be taking the backway from Allentown and then going north on 130. The parking lot does look small (but empty :)). No wonder they want to drum up business.

It's easy to get into with the traffic light off 130. I think a lot of the NY cars won't make the drive so the numbers will be down which may fit better.

I dunno, it's closer to the NJTPK than Jackson is and only about 10 miles more from the GSP.

There is no light to get into this place. Going south on 130 you have to pass it and u-turn back. This isn't the hamilton marketplace, it's futher south on 130.

KevinW 03-01-2011 03:38 PM

I guess I will be eating cheeburger in two places :) Never been there before

BonzoHansen 03-01-2011 04:02 PM

it's not bad, a little pricey. they make a decent milkshake.

kev, bring that hot rod out to chapterhouse in howell in a few weeks. :)

KevinW 03-01-2011 06:42 PM

Scott, I was looking at that. You park in the back then go inside to eat? That makes me a little nervous with the 69. Might just come with the daily driver. I will be going to the Circus one if I am free. Just took the gas tank out to detail, have to get it back in first :)

BonzoHansen 03-01-2011 07:29 PM

You bring it out, there is zero to be worried about. Park, hang out BS, go in & eat, then back out to BS more. Big lot, low traffic, none that far back. plus we'll probably sit in the back room with the windows facing out.

S.J.SLEEPER 03-01-2011 07:43 PM

The way the economy is... you think Jackson would want to have them more. Well they'll see the difference and change their tune. Thats Corporate for ya, stupid decisions made from pencil pushers in the office, not knowing what actually happens out in the real world. stupid stupid stupid!!!

Tru2Chevy 03-01-2011 11:01 PM

Yea Curt, I can't imagine that the shopping center as a whole was doing less business on those nights than other fridays, but whatever.

Well i dont care its only 10 minutes from my house which is nice... and i know of all the sneaky places to park in the area since i dont make the year cutoff anyway so to me this is a good thing... i can go till 830 then still make it to work no problem

BTK79 03-02-2011 10:36 AM

Yes , I too will like a close car show that I could hang & eat at with the crew .

WildBillyT 03-07-2011 09:13 PM

I was told from a Nova guy in Jackson that the outlets wanted $1000 per cruise night.

Yup that was one of the many reasons that they left there

bad64chevelle 03-09-2011 01:49 PM

heard about this last night. actually makes no difference for me because it takes me the same time to get to both places, but I hated that traffic trying to get into Jackson.

JL8Jeff 05-02-2011 09:03 AM

Did anybody go to the cruise night on Friday night? I was preparing the truck to replace the brake lines this weekend so I couldn't go.

Rich189 05-02-2011 03:25 PM

Yes me billy M and my buddy rickert went... I dont think the turnout was great with it getting real cloudy and windy in the afternoon but it wasnt bad at all. Also it seemed like a lot of people drove their DD's to check the area out and look around ( i know thats what my uncles club did because they didnt know how it was going to be setup etc) so i have a feeling itll be much better in may

coolmanvette75 05-02-2011 03:28 PM

how many cars do you think were there/could fit?

BonzoHansen 05-25-2011 11:41 AM
