WTB: LS1/6 block (or shortblock)

I'm looking to find a good (or easily rebuildable) LS1/ls6 block.

I wouldnt mind it having the rotating assembly.
But I don't need any covers or cam/valvetrain/heads, etc.

My current motor is on borrowed time I think, so I want to start building a replacement motor to avoid a longer downtime with the car.

Are you firm on LS1/6? There are a myriad of ways to build a LS, why stick with the older versions?

Kinda would like to stay 5.7 aluminum. Don't want the extra weight of an iron block, and not to sure what's needed to get an ls2 to work with the ls1 computer, and Holden bcm. (Reluctor wheel, knock sensors, cam sensor etc) If it's not to difficult, I'd consider that route. Looking to make 425-500rwhp na. Last ls6 build I did was 425rwhp with stock heads, stock intake, and a ported stock tb.

I guess I'll go research that ls2 swap over now.

Can you give me some more info such as mileage and did it run fine when pulled etc. Its a bit of a drive from the NYC area but I could make it work.

About 100K miles. ran great when pulled. I originally pulled to do a HCI upgrade but decided to go with a bored and stroked LQ4 instead. I also have the heads if you are interested.
