Crotch Rocket? Who's Got One?

Hey, I recently met a member on here who has a bike and was wondering whoelse might...
Me and my friends are constantly looking for new people and places to ride. We're a bunch of levelheaded riders not looking to showoff or anything. In fact, we'll probably be out all weekend and every nice day afterwards. Let me know...
We have a group on Yahoo called "TwistiesNJ"... Please, feel free to join.
Thanks!

I ride in Northern Jersey and areas of New York state. Although I have a sport bike I'm more of a sport tourer at heart.

DevilDougWS6 03-21-2009 12:53 AM

im looking to get a motorcycle for myself right now actually. i kind of want something like a Ducati or Buell. I love the feel of a sport bike....but those v-twins are sexy.

GrandmasterCow 03-21-2009 05:49 AM

'08 modded Yamaha R6S here. South jersey, i'm game for riding anywhere though.

Haha! Yes it is my friend! That is our "527 Run"... We go all around that area and down Mountainside Rd. into the back areas of Milstone. I'd like to meet up sometime and maybe pick your brain about your mods and whatnot, especially now that the weather is getting nicer!

A guy we ride w/ has a Buell Firebolt, and his GF is getting the Buell Blast, great manuvering! With a Ducati, you'll hate everyone telling you that your bike sounds like it's breaking down... The dry clutch makes a horrible sound... you'll see.

That's great! We actually just met a guy w/ a GSXR1k who rides all over So Jersey. He wants us to go over by Atlantic City... Supposeably some good roads over there.

NO LICENSE = We could work something out, maybe pick you guys up on the way if you don't live out in no man's land. I must've had my permit for 2months at least b4 getting my license so I def simpathize...

The Ducati chatter is caused by the valve which have to be adjusted on a regular basis.

Doug, if you like V-twins I highly recommend checking out Suzuki SV650's. They make great torque and are pretty lightweight and nimble.

HeadlessNorseman 03-23-2009 10:20 AM

i had an 86 honda vf500, beat up and old but only 6000 miles. Had for 2 or 3 years...didnt get a lot of road time tho, maybe ~200 miles. Was affraid to take it out, considering i dont have a motorcycle license. I still rode it around though. Cops never bothered me. I would like to get my motorcylce license this year and do it legit...and like devil doug, i want to get a vtwin...maybe an rc51 or an original honda hawk if i can find one in decent shape. I would also love to have an 80s gsxr 1300. There is torque if you want it

Well like I said we ride w/ a Buell w/ a full exhaust that sounds freakin awesome!
We also have:
ZX10R, 2 ZX6R's, CBR1000RR, GSXR600, GSXR750, GSXR1000, R1, R6, ZZR, & my Busa...
There's more that come and go but these are pretty much the ones that stick around for most of the rides...

Weather is getting warmer guys...

Yea, I've been running into them alot lately... I don't let em get me down tho. My one friend gets really bent outta shape if a car cuts him off etc.
