My new to me 1998 Camaro SS

I have waited long enough to introduce getting back into an f-body. And my first LS1 car which I am excited about. This can originally popped up for sale here, it was purchased by a friend and un foreseen circumstances happened and the car has now wound up in my hands. It is a 100% stock 1998 SS 6 speed hardtop car. She has 111k on her now and I have been enjoying it as is for the moment. Of course with the mileage on this car pushes it out of the collector realm so it will receive some mods. Nothing crazy as I like the idea of keeping good drivability. First things on my list are going to be a cat back and a intake lid probably after the holidays and go from there. As for now I am just enjoying it and driving it as much as I can before winter sets in. I am going to put in some pics. I plan on taking better ones with my camera soon and I will add those as well. I will also chronicle anything I install on the car here when I install it. Not like a build thread or anything just sort of an update thread.

Congrats on the purchase. For the intake are you planning to do a lid and convert to the underchin ram air or are you going to keep the hood scoop functional?

Enjoy it man. They are fun cars and with the 6spd they get great mileage.

VERY CLEAN LOOKING for a 112K car. That could be a show car with some detailing. These cars are getting hard to find that haven't been modded and raced to death. My 3rd Gen Formula usually is the only Bird at a lot of car shows due to most of them being beat to death. There are enough BOLT-ON mods to keep you busy for awhile such as a lid/ headers/ a good sounding exhaust (which will not really improve your performance too much) as the SLP Dual-Duals were free flowing/ LCA's and a Panhard bar. I love the stock chrome rims, just get a really good set of 17" Performance tires.
You might also look into getting the undercarriage sprayed with a professional undercoat treatment that would protect and cover, plus it makes it look brand new.

Going to keep the hood functional so just the lid to get rid of all the baffling and such. It is fun as it sits but way too quiet for me

Ed gonna do all bolt ons. No desire to go crazy with this car

Thanks for the compliments guys

Small update. Kinda forgot to update when I put them on but car now has a SLP lid with a k&n filter and a SLP LM 1 cat back. I have some maintenance to do coming up and my next upgrades are likely to be better brakes and some suspension stuff
