motor from a 87formula 350tpi was swapped into a 88formula with 305tbi speedo doesnt work and when u hit the gas it pings like its out of timeing when u drive it the car stalls whenever it wants to u pull over and it starts right back up???????i need to know if these # are the right ones for this set up ecm # 1227165 other# on it 16059521 buffer# 4out.buffer 25071437 prom#16055376 the # on the side of it is 350068644 anyone who can help?????? i dont wanna give up on this car . thanx BRUCE

Your numbers seem fine but what did you do about the wiring harness? Did you swap or repin or neither?

Been a while, but I think when we swapped a 350 into a friends 86 there was a relay/module in the wiring harness by the brake booster that also had to be changed.

for the speed, Did you change the ECM? Was the doner car a different trans, manual vrs auto maybe? <- i have no real clue, just throwing out some ideas!
