difference in Hooker headers..

Anyone know the actual difference between Hooker super comp LT headers that fit the 70-81 camaro and the ones that fit the 82-92 camaro? I was just curious because in pictures they look pretty similar.

I think it has something to do with clearing the steering. not shure though.

I wonder if "traxion's" thread on the LT install is still up. Showed what he had to cut, grind, trim, move whatever to get them to fit on his old 90 iroc...

I've read his, I think it all depends on the car because others have said it wasn't that bad. Motor mounts wear out and cause the engine to sag which creates a smaller space between the frame rails and the engine, accidents can move the frame rails or control arms...among other things. Also, I have no A/c, so the pass. side is completely clear. I forget if that guy has A/C still in his car.
