NJFBOA @ NYC Auto Show

as i am sure some of you saw from my thread in the lounge, we are going to hit the NYC auto show as a group on friday, april 14th. see that here >>>> http://www.njfboa.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15701

since doors are supposed to be at 11am, i woudl say we all want to be at the javits center by 10:45 so that we can be among the first through the door, before it gets overly crowded.

who's interested in going? who wants to take the to organize getting up there as a group?.

Rich189 02-19-2006 08:20 PM

im interested as long as i can get off from work the night before

WayFast84 02-19-2006 08:28 PM

the ewing/trenton/hamilton crew coudl jsut take the train up from the hamilton station. they have plenty of parking and i don't think it costs too much. the train ride takes about 1.5-2hours on a normal day, so if we left from hamilton around 8-8:30 we shoudl be in the city in plenty of time to get down to the javits center. :)
people further north can jsut meet us on the train or once we get to NYC.

Any idea how much that parking costs? I know the train ticket is around 8 or 9 bucks I think, one way.

jimmyboy8301 02-19-2006 11:23 PM

me me me i'm interested

kamikaz 02-19-2006 11:26 PM

When I went last year they hit me up for 50 bucks for a parking spot for my conversion van and it was like 10 new york blocks away from the javits center.

Later,

Santos

Tim, the only issue with parking is that it's a weekday. I think only monthly passholders are allowed to park between 6am and 10am. Mike mentioned parking at his place though, since he's only a few blocks away.

i'm going to be taking the train from point pleasant. it's about a three hour ride, give or take, so i'll be on the 7:15 a.m. train. anyone along the line on the eastern side can find me in the last car (probably sleeping). otherwise i'll arrive at the javits' center around 10:15.

hopefully we'll have decent weather. not another 'snow in april' type of deal.

qwikz28 02-21-2006 10:16 AM

weehawken ferry ftw!!! you can buy your car show tickets on the ferry so we dont have to wait on that year long line. i'll be leaving from new brunswick if someone wants to hop in and carpool
