Anybody have one of these little babies I could borrow??? I can't bring my self to spending $50-100 on a tool I'll use once.

project89 04-05-2006 10:14 PM

what bearing are u trying to remove, i have bearing pullers just not one like that, but prolly have one that will work

BonzoHansen 04-06-2006 07:35 AM

Input shaft bearing off the main input shaft, basically just like the pic. Bearing has a lock ring groove around it where the puller can grab.

Bonzo,

First off- sorry for not getting back to you at all recently. I've been working from 8AM to 9-11PM this week and have had little time to do much.

Anyway,

When we get together to do the subframes I've got you covered. We've got a gullotine "puller" like you need.

BonzoHansen 04-07-2006 07:16 AM

Damn Billy, you got everything. :) New job sounds like a real picinc.

BigAls87Z28 04-07-2006 08:19 AM

you could also rent one from Advance or AutoZone.

BonzoHansen 04-07-2006 01:47 PM

The auto zone by me looked at me like I had 5 heads. I didn't realize Advance rented tools, I’ll try there this weekend.

BonzoHansen 04-08-2006 12:27 PM

Advance = no dice, but the guys were nicer & somewhat more knowledgible.

project89 04-08-2006 08:30 PM

did u ever get what ya needed if not if ur near milltown, i have a puller that would work but id have to do it at the shop in the press

BonzoHansen 04-09-2006 08:28 AM

I might have, but I'll let you know. Thanks-

project89 04-09-2006 01:51 PM

Did you ever find one? if not I'm pretty sure I have one or two you could borrow and I'm in hamilton....

Chris

BonzoHansen 04-18-2006 10:04 PM

Billy said he has one, but if you are in Hamilton, that is one less thing I have to harrass him about. :) You got PM

WildBillyT 04-19-2006 10:36 PM

Nah, you aren't harassing me. If anything I feel bad that we haven't been able to get any of this stuff done yet.

BonzoHansen 04-23-2006 08:36 AM

Chris, thanks for the help, but they are too small. Let me know a good time this week I can return them.

Billy, is yours big enough to get around an ~3 1/4" bearing? If not, then I have to hit e-town on Saturday.

WildBillyT 04-23-2006 06:40 PM

Scott,

I will check for you. I know we use it for pinion bearings and muncie rebuilds.
