Just tinted... few pics

With the unusually nice December weather we've been having, I washed the car, threw a quick coat of wax on, and took a few pics at my friend's house before heading back to school. Just tinted the car yesterday, incredibly happy with how it turned out. Enjoy, comments/suggestions welcome! (wheels are without a doubt next :bang: )

lastcall190 12-17-2006 11:19 PM

Thanks guys. Rich, it's 15% all around minus the windshield. You ever around RT1 area? I go to school at Rider and usually take RT1 to and from home...

On the hatch you can go as dark as you want....you could paint it black if you wanted.

Nothing is legal on the side windows, unless you have an eye doctor's note saying that you are sensitive to light.

i had an eye doctors note, got me out of a bunch of tickets but after a while some towns didnt care and told me to deal with it in court.

jola 12-22-2006 09:14 PM

An eye doctor's note...eh? Hmmmmmm.

Rich189 12-22-2006 10:03 PM

What are you gunna do at inspection time, looks great though

bokey 02-06-2007 09:49 AM

Pic nine would be sweet if you just did some photochop work and got rid of that one blade of grass that is real blurry.

Looks real nice btw. Saw a few posts about inspection - should be able to find somebody just to helen keller the sticker

Iroc-z86 02-06-2007 10:39 AM

i had a buddy who put the windows down, they pulled the fuse before went to inspection. told the lady they were broken and didnt work or something like that and he was passed lol. I think he had 5% or something crazy on the sides

BonzoHansen 02-06-2007 12:13 PM

It looks great...it's a rolling probable cause, but it looks really great. :p

I like the GTO a lot too.

well i never tested it in court, but most cops really didnt know what to do so they let me go. I had the doctors perscription note laminated and i'd just had it over with my license. There are some laws regarding tints and medical conditions, but i dont know the specifics and they are rare. And btw, i didnt do it just as free excuse, i do have considerable photo sensitivity, so driving in bright sunlight ever with sunglasses, glares from the sides make me squint and tear.

ded71 02-09-2007 04:30 PM

I love that blacked out look. Had mine done, but inspection time came up, so I had to pull it off. What a pain in the a$$. I think there is still some glue on my windows.

lastcall190 02-12-2007 09:48 AM

Wow this thread resurrected... thanks for the comments. I don't know what I'll do for inspection, but tint is the least of my worries hahah, I'll figure something out. Worst case scenario, I'll talk to the tinter, see if he can give me a cut rate if I have to remove and have it redone.

Noah, yea it needs a drop BAD, along with some decent wheels :D

I can't wait to rip that damned parking decal off the side, talk about an eye sore.
