SpeedMetalT/A 01-13-2007 11:20 PM

The car is an 87 T/A

WayFast84 01-13-2007 11:26 PM

get a 06 bmw blue metalic

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/bo...cs-inside.html

if u want !sidemolding, do it before paint, because if you decide on it later it will be a different shade..no matter what color you get it painted

SpeedMetalT/A 01-13-2007 11:30 PM

My sold molding is already gone actually,I know it saves your car from dents but I hate the way it looks.

WayFast84 01-13-2007 11:34 PM

you lucky bastard, i wish i had none, but it will look even worse since my car has been repainted..

SpeedMetalT/A 01-13-2007 11:39 PM

that bmw color is real close to the black sapphire metallic, my car was originally that color but the paints so faded now you can barely tell.

ar0ck 01-13-2007 11:41 PM

I'm definitely a big fan of BMW Metallic colors but they are pretty costly.

You don't see to many nice blue variants out there.

WayFast84 01-13-2007 11:59 PM

just get the bmw blue, you wouldnt be disapointed, and if you are, idc i think its sexy and we can swap bodys or something lol

SpeedMetalT/A 01-14-2007 09:10 PM

This is one of the other colors I had been considering

Therese also Viper Steel Grey, which is a pretty nice color. Seabring Silver Metallic is also pretty nice too!

thats what my colors soposed to be :|

transmaro93 01-15-2007 04:37 PM

personally, i think that blue color on that first link was ugly on that car... just doesnt work... that dark gray color was very nice tho on that link that you posted... i liked taht color... looks good on the 3rd gen... check out some mazda colors... they have alot of really beautiful colors... i just did a stripe on my hood in a mazda red (3 stage color) very nice.... they also have a nice metallic black color that you might want to check out.... did you ever consider "Marina Blue" thats a gm color from 1999 and actually from the 60's that they brought back... or just a nice metallic steel gray color.... of some sort... go by a chip book... or somthing at a paint supply shop..

SpeedMetalT/A 01-29-2007 03:23 PM

I've almost decided what color I'm going to paint it.Either bright white or black sapphire metallic.

transmaro93 01-29-2007 05:33 PM

i have a sweet spot for white f bods and vettes... white is such a nice color gotta wash it once a week tho...

WayFast84 01-31-2007 06:05 PM

i think you should get this white http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...3_352_full.jpg

SpeedMetalT/A 01-31-2007 06:19 PM

I wanted to get the brightest white I could possibly get just like that camaro , but the car is being painted at maaco and when I dropped it off they were talking about some of the problems of changing over to another color and possibly getting white overspray on my weatherstripping because they don't strip the entire car and its not really an exspensive paint job so I decided on the dark blue I'll probably end up painting it again in 2 years if I don't like it but it'll be better than it was.

transmaro93 01-31-2007 06:24 PM

youll be painting it in two years regardless becuasei ts a maaco job.... do all ur mechanics next and then save for a reall goodpaint job when its finished all said and done...

SpeedMetalT/A 01-31-2007 06:32 PM

Yeah thats what I'm gonna do but I thought I'd do the paint now b/c they have a half price deal right now and I'm getting the $800 paint job for $400 and my paint was shot. The slightest touch would make marks in it.

transmaro93 you might have even seen my car before since you live in brick. It looks like its a primer blue color.I actually bought it in brick too , it was over by the subway on route 88.

transmaro93 02-01-2007 04:12 PM

possibly.... ill keep an eye out... but yea you made the right choice then... im not tryen to downplay ur paint job im just sayen if you plan on haven this car for a while as a long term project your not gonna wanna keep maaco paint on there ya know... should look good for a while tho... good luck
