It was a decent night to run (other than the long wait).

I ran a best of 11.4 @128 (still has a lot of room for improvement).

And Rich did his first run of 13.2 @ 106.

Was there anyone else there I didn't meet up with? There were more than a few F-bodies.

What were your 60 fts.? That's definitely 10 second mph.

Only a 1.8 (thats why I said I definatly have room for improvement). Keep in mind that the 11.4 I ran I was sliding a bit down the track on top of my less than perfect 60" time. I know it is a 10 second capable car. I just need to get it controlable so I don't slide all over the place.

Definitely alot left in her. Drop that 60 down to a 1.5 and your floating around 10.7-10.88-)

Rich189 07-04-2007 08:41 AM

yea ben has a ton of room for improvement... i have quite a bit as well it was a 13.2 at 106.5 with a 2.15 60 (needed better burnout) next run was a 13.31 at 107.8 with a 2.2 60

CALL911 07-04-2007 10:14 AM

What I can't get over is the fact I can hook on the street with cold Nitto DR's in 1st gear! But at the track with heated slicks I keep sliding all over the place  :x

What size are the Nittos, and what brand/size are the slicks? Were you in the slick lanes at the track, or were you running int the street TnT lanes?

- Justin

Rich189 07-04-2007 09:34 PM

he was in the t&t lanes... i beleive hes just gonna run his dr's next time his main problem is in 2nd gear it starts "swaying" back and forth

98tadriver 07-04-2007 09:59 PM

i was there, as a matter of fact, i posted a day before i went! i talked to a few of you fellas, call 911s car is even sicker in person

CALL911 07-05-2007 12:18 AM

Thanks 98tadriver. The DR's are 305/35ZR18's, and the slicks are Mickey Thompsons. I'm gonna try to drop the tire pressure a little more next time in the slicks, but I might try a run or two as well with the DR's.

I plan on going again soon. Perhaps maybe even next week sometime.

Tru2Chevy 07-08-2007 09:39 PM

What size and model MTs? And what pressure were you running them at?

- Justin

CALL911 07-08-2007 09:41 PM

They were MT ET streets, 26X10.5X16 with 16 psi in them.

Tru2Chevy 07-08-2007 09:53 PM

Heh.....that is pretty surprising that you couldn't hook up on them, but have no issues on 18" Nittos.

I'm assuming that you have all the suspension bolt-ons that one would normally have? And everything is setup properly?

- Justin

Mike 07-08-2007 09:57 PM

part of the swaying back and forth may be from running radial tires in the front and slicks in back.... and you also might be putting water down from the front tires and having to launch in it

CALL911 07-09-2007 11:56 AM

The suspension is more than dialed in as even with cold Nitto DR's with my 614 RWHP I can hook up on the street in 1st gear without spinning.

Its more of the fact that I am running the radials up front and slicks in the back. I plan on trying to make a few passes in my DR's next time around.

Mike 07-09-2007 02:27 PM

if your ever there when i am, we can throw my front runners on for a run and see if it helps you with your slicks...im planning on hitting englishtown wednesday i think

Tru2Chevy 07-09-2007 07:39 PM

Yea, a set of skinnies might really help you out. They'll pull less water onto the track, and help reduce the sway....

- Justin

CALL911 07-09-2007 07:43 PM

Skinnies would help, and I really appreciate the offer fellas, but I have Baer 13.5 inch rotors (as well as some big Baer calipers) that 99% of all skinnies won't fit on.

I'll be trying to go to Atco either on Tuesday or Thursday with my DR's to see if they do any better.

Mike 07-09-2007 08:16 PM

yeah, your brakes are as big as my wheels......
