what would happen if i take out the vats all together i have my old harness appart i plan on takeing the vats out traceing all the wires to the gauge cluster and the fuse box and what would happen if i do the same with the airbag control box

you would need the vats programmed out of the chip if you pulled the whole circuit out...

just find your key's resistance, buy a resistor from radioshack, wire it in there...close up the column and forget about it
