Who makes a nice weather pak crimp tool?

Looking to add one to my tool box, but unsure as to what kind. Some perform both crimps in one motion, others require two. Some have interchangable jaws, others don't. Any experience either good or bad?

I have the tool from Sears but haven't had a chance to use it yet. You're welcome to borrow it or try it out if you want to. I keep forgetting that I need to redo some wiring in the boat and planned on using the weatherpack stuff I already have.

What did the tool set you back, if you don't mind? If it was a one and done thing, I'd take you up on the offer, but I can see myself using this quite often. Somebody once told me, if you borrow a tool more than once, you need to buy....so that's kinda my thinking...

Got a pic of the tool?

It's made by SK Tools part # 7801. It's around $20 but you're welcome to give it a try and see if you like it before you buy one. I think Sears sells it through their tool store.

Chris,

you can always use mine. I have a real GM approved hand crimper, does both the electrical crimp and silicone seal at the same time.

if you wanted to buy one, it cost around a hundred. Got it from.....if I remember correctly, powerandsignal.com. It does just weatherpack crimps, both sizes of crimp guages. I've used it for other things if you take off the terminal guide.

I'd have to dig up the part number/info for you.

you can get away with lesser crimpers, but this one holds the terminals for you so it comes out factory.

just stop by the house and ask my brother Mike if I'm not there..... I have crimps (m/f) and bodys (3 cavity) and silicone seals if you need them too....

I don't have the tool, but I've purchased weather packs and stuff from this company and the prices are better then some of the other places I've used.

their site is a bit odd in that the crimping tools are not all listed together?

Not sure if you found one yet, but I got the June sales catalog from Snap-On today. They have one listed for 37.95. If you search on Snapon.com its under tool number SAG18930 but its listed for 39.95 online.
