86,000 miles on the cam, out of a 96 Camaro

IROCZBeast 07-28-2008 10:34 AM

Rear end blew on my Jeep today, I need this rear end and stuff gone ASAP to pay to fix my JEEP, first person to show up at my door with cash takes it, I'll be home all day today since I'm carless. Call me at 973-626-3587 to arrange a pick up with anything.

LTb1ow 07-28-2008 11:20 AM

Is there anyway to make that rear work on a 95?

IROCZBeast 07-28-2008 11:46 AM

I don't see why it wouldn't, I planned on putting it in my 96 until I sold the car.

LTb1ow 07-28-2008 11:47 AM

Well I think mine is a three channel rear whereas that its a four channel. I could just be rambling here...

NastyEllEssWon 07-28-2008 11:34 PM

anyway youd sell just the gears????

Jersyboyy 07-29-2008 12:38 AM

I would scoop that rear up in a heart beat but it wont be fore 2 more weeks before I get some extra cash :( Gotta get heads first good luck with the sale.

IROCZBeast 07-29-2008 08:45 AM

Not looking to sell just the gears, I'm amazed no one is scooping this thing up the cost of gears and having them installed costs in the $600+ range. You can get this rear with 4.10's already installed for half that...

no problem putting a 4 channel in a 3 channel I believe. It's just a traction control? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You can swap them, and they will work, but you'll lose traction control and ABS if you go from 3 to 4 or from 4 to 3 with no other changes.

Isn't there a connector to make everything work well together?

I have heard of people making them work with some custom fabrication, but I don't know of any pre-made connector you can buy.

I did it at my shop but you have to take at all apart and remove the ring gear to press on the reluctor ring, then drill thru 5/8 or so of cast iron, doable but a pain in the azz

LTb1ow 07-30-2008 08:39 PM

So what happens if you just slap it in there and drive with it?

alamantia 07-30-2008 08:42 PM

no ABS and the ABS inop light comes on
