blinker doesnt blink
when i turn on my right signal it doesnt blink and just stays solid, no idea where to begin looking, anyone have this problem?
i think its the bulb blew out
just open and close your eyes really fast repeatedly and you'll be fine.
if the front light is on solid, check the rear bulb, if the rear bulb is on, check the front, if both are on, check the flasher unit. |
the flasher unit is where out of curiousity? fuse box?
dam thats expensive!!
flasher is under the dash near steering column |
man that sucks another thing wrong with your new car, hopefully this is the last thing
ok ill look further into it today. ehh yeah it sucks having stuff go but its just a blinker for now things could be worse lol
You have a bad bulb, thats is it......

Nope thats it........Ive replaced about 6 of them in my car cuz the front markers hold water......thats what it is.......
oh ok, i yield to your overwhelming expertise. apparently you are above silicone?
I have new markers to put on it Ill put them in when the new bumper goes on....I thought the same thing when mine stopped working cuz I was a mechanic too, I figured they would blink fast if one bulb was out, not the case. Check the bulbs.
if i remember correctly if only one side of the car is staying on solid its not the flasher unit. if the flasher was bad both left and right will be solid.
i had the same problem with my left side and it turned out to be a bad ground on one of the bulb sockets. the wire running into it got loose somehow. get a wire and ground one end and touch the side of the bulb where the metal is while its plugged in. try it on all the bulbs. |
ok..both bulbs are working, the left signal works perfect, just the right turn signals stay solid.
should i drop the 7 bucks and get new bulbs and try that? how much do flasher modules go for? |
turn on your hazards and see what blinks/doesn't.
Its just the bulb. They are dual filament and the blinkers crap out. It would stay lit, just not blink, and the blinker arrow from your dash should stay lit. This happened to me a lot because moisture was getting into the signal housings. Put some dielectric grease around the plugs.
go under the bumper and drop down the hatch (10mm bolt x2). Reach up there and the bulb socket is a twist lock into the signal housing. If you cant get to the bulb that way, remove one of the headlights and get it from the top. |
hazards are weird all the signals blink but the front right one, im going to swap the bulb and see what happens
its either the bulb in the front or back is bad... replace both not hard to do...

done 1000000 of these at work its the bulb dude dont listen to anyone else
replace that front right bulb and if it still doesnt work read my post, dont buy new bulbs if all seem to be working swap drivers to passenger side and see if the problem moves. still sounds like a bad ground
yeah it was the bulb which by the way is a pain in the balls to get out without taking the housing out. fixed it right there in the parking lot. i guess i need to learn to do simple stuff first before assuming something went horribly wrong with the car lol..i just want to take good care of it is all..

ZOMG i wuz driving and i saw the gas gauge near E havent checkd it in a long time what could be teh wrongz??1? |
that was very helpful crainholio thanks for that . . .
Just an FYI madness, those marker assemblies gather alot of water which tend to blow out the bulbs. I drilled two small holes in the bottom to let them drain out without dripping onto my fogs underneath them, havent had one blow out since. |
