FS: IMI Magnum Research "Baby" Desert Eagle .45acp pistol - SOLD

Another pistol that I don't shoot too much anymore. This is an original IMI, not the knockoffs being produced nowadays. Comes with 2 magazines(one is a CZ mag).

Asking $500.

how exactly do you go about getting a gun registered if you buy privately?

In NJ, you apply for a pistol purchase permit at your local Police Department. Once you go through the process, they issue your permit, and you can buy a gun. For a face-to-face sale, all that is required is for both parties to fill out the paperwork, and the seller will then mail the top 2 copies of your permit to the NJSP and your local PD.

Ah, ok wasn't sure how the private thing works as I'm applying for my permit next week.

Gotcha. The only difference between buying face to face instead of at a store, is that a store will call in a NICS background check(and charge you $16 for that call). Otherwise, all the paperwork is done exactly the same.

I would also recommend applying for 5-6 permits instead of 1. The process is long and aggravating, and it never hurts to have a good permit lying around in case you come across a great deal on a gun you just have to have.

No thanks, looking for cash. Only trades would be firearm-related.
