Aside from the lt1's having 2 piece driveshafts so there were mounts for the carrier bearing on it, yes. You will be fine.

LT1's came with 2 piece driveshafts?

I think the "LT1 year range" torque arm had provisions for the 2 piece DS.

He mentioned v6 vs v8 and he bought the 97 formula off of Paul that had the 3.8 with some nitrous. I don't know the history of the car etc. but the v6's with steel driveshafts were 2 piece wonders.

Correct. V6's are two piece. I run an aluminum shaft in my V6 with the stock T/A no problem.

OK, I knew V6 car had 2 piece shafts.

Yeah, he got rid of that lt1 he had. Silly kids.

Yep, i have a v6 T/A behind my LT/M6 at the moment, no troubles. The V6 torque arm is boxed, and had a thread hole in the center for (i think) a carrier bearing. Fits right in though!
