Raceway Park Night of Thrills 5/19 - anyone have details?

Etown's website blows. I see night of thrills is next Saturday. Anyone know what is on the schedule that night? They have zero details. I guess I'll have to call and ask.

Throw on the wrat, they've been advertising it like crazy. I know there will obviously be monster trucks, don't know what's going down the strip though.

WildBillyT 05-12-2012 09:23 AM

I've gone to that a few times. I remeber funny cars, top fuel, bikes, monster trucks, jet cars... and robosaurus.

Used to be on Wednesday night, then the locals started complaining about the noise and they had to shut down at 9pm.

Was a good show though. The wheel stand cars were pretty cool too

Oh come on, they're committed to providing affordable entertainment. It says so on the web site!

Sweet Jesus. $30 a head now?

I guess it's supply and demand.

elle 05-14-2012 03:36 PM

You know, I just remembered that I used to go with coupons I would get at PC Richard.

IROCZman15 05-21-2012 10:09 PM

yup, the p.c. richards coupouns used to be my way in. i remember it being weekday evenings too in hte past. those new residents by the track have been ruining everything. i know the event already happened. but they usually do monster trucks, a jet car or 2, the wheelie school bus, a few nitor cars, some bikes, and whatnot

Tru2Chevy 05-22-2012 03:47 PM

Always amazes me how people can buy a house that's right next to a racetrack and then complain about noise. Same with people who buy next to an airport. We are surrounded by morons.....

They have always had 1 Sat show and then 2 wed nite shows. PC Richards, ??? and the jet car show. The shows are all over by 9pm (maybe 10?) I always like them and enjoyed the monstor trucks getting crazy! Good for kids and anyone who has never been. Once you have seen a few they do get old IMO.

WildBillyT 05-22-2012 03:56 PM

Benny the Bomb never gets old. LOL.

IROCZman15 05-22-2012 04:02 PM

elle .. i think the other one you might be referring to is called "the Summer Motorsports Spectacular"

elle 05-22-2012 04:20 PM

Everyone loves Benny!

Tom Meentz(sp?) is crazy as he11! Puts on a great show. We were always there real early. You should see the scroungy guys that travel with the monster trucks. Worse than carnies.

Yea, MotorSports something sounds familiar.

Yup, or train tracks, bars, boardwalk, etc etc etc. It was there before you and isn't going to move.

RIP East Windsor Speedway. Just a reminder not to take your local race tracks for granted.

We had a meet in turn 1 of Flemington Speedway.

1915-2002.

Yup, well aware. I have actually not stepped foot onto that property since the track closed. I always like EWS better, but spent many many nights at both tracks growing up.
