So the pink wire feeding the coil has no power?

Ignition wise, everything is plugged in correctly?

i will check in a few mins about that pink wire, but one of the red wires going to the opti has power. which ones should have power with key on? and when cranking?

Did you check your ignition fuse?

Edit: Should be fuse 11 I think

yes

Ok, well check to make sure you have power leaving that fuse, if so, you have a break somewhere. That fuse feeds the coil, ICM, and CPS.

do i need to have a ground to the block? i have the ground strap connected from the frame to the block, but is it necessary to have grounds connected to the block or should i be able to attach them anywhere to a good clean ground

From what I remember there are a few grounds at the head on an ICM stud, and then the ground strap to the frame from there. There is also a PCM ground on the passenger side of the block near the knock sensor.

Do you have voltage at the fuse and after it?

will check the fuse tomorrow, forgot.

i did check the yellow wire on the opti harness, pin B . should be 2-4 volts when cranking. it was bouncing around but didnt go over 2.2 volts
