My dyno results on the 370 build
 
Overall the #'s seemed lower then I expected along with the HP peak # at 6k. Was satisfied with broad range of power over 400. But looking for your guys opinions. Car was street tuned, we are going to be hitting the track and a dyno and tweak it some more. Final result yielding 428RWHP/427RWTQ uncorrected

With that being said my last ls1 TSP v2 set up was dyno'd 411/383, and this set up feels so much faster. I wouldnt expect to feel 17hp difference. Undecided on which # was the in accurate one

Peak was at 6k or you stopped it at 6k?

Thats a 6400-7000 peaking cam...

The "feels a lot faster" and "Only 17hp" are not the same thing, you had a 44ft/lbs jump. Torque is the real number that is measured, it is the ability of the engine to do actual work. That is what you are feeling through the butt-dyno. HP is really little more than a mathematical calculation, it's not a measured force.

Did they include the air-fuel ration information or any of the computer data log with the dyno sheets? What lid are you running? Any plans to step up the MAF diameter? A little easier breathing could help that power band hang on even longer.

The print out looks like the power carries a good distance beyond the peak, almost to 7k RPM. Were there changes between pulls? Seems odd that the peak hp would be 200 rpm higher on the first pull than the 2nd and 3rd.

Overall I would say you are making very good power. Curve is smooth and the torque curve carries a long way. sounds like the combo works well. Congrats

Exactly - it's all about the added TQ and "power under the curve". The car may respond at the track like a 30hp increase due to the extra TQ. Many a 305 car has had the same result when moving to a 350.

Valve control issues are a possibility with the different peaks on subsequent pulls.

yeah i agree, i didn't take into consideration the 40 TQ jump. All three pulls were almost identical and were all back to back with no changes.

its the FTP lid forgot the diameter. and no I didnt plan on stepping up from the MAF any further. The car was street tuned, and I have an a/f gauge in the car reading 12.7 at WOT.

As far as the pulls themselves go the operator was letting off before 7k since thats where my shift light is set to and we didnt have a true tac signal. The RPM is based on roller speed. That another reason why i think the peak might be lower. I got to get on another one and have a tach signal

I am hopefully going to make it saturday to island and see how it does to get a better idea.

it drives awesome and is at least 50% faster, thats why im not to concerned with the numbers but i didnt think they were adding up.

Do you have the corrected numbers for both old and new combinations? Numbers that are corrected to standard are a lot more of an apples to apples comparison. Saying numbers are corrected in no way makes them perfect, just a more consistent basis for comparison.

no this guy did not print corrected since he says he doesn't believe in them. But my old #s I do, i will post them later tonight.

Wasn't this "The Dream Crusher" dyno? The car is significantly faster than it was with the h/c ls1... my butthole puckers tremendously quicker now than it ever did with the last motor.

Bring it to the meet and see what you can do on the big board.

That bump in torque must feel amazing. You should try and make it to the rental on the 10th.

Dyno numbers are best used as baseline - Before/after results. All dynos are diffferent.
I would look more at why you are starting to drop off above 6K? You should be able to spin a bit higher I would think?

I asume this is all new, let it get some break in time. Would like to see a data log and some wide band readings.

The tune may be more on the safer side? That's not a bad thing. I know I have more in my car, but would rather be a little slower then breaking parts.

Track times are always a better gauge on the how the car is running.
