the sway bar shouldn't limit your vertical suspension travel very much if at all. I'd start looking at other things back there like the panhard and control arms. Look for anything that may be binding up like tim said. I'm assuming you're still using the stock style suspension.
I agree with batman though, I wouldnt be racing a car as fast as yours without the sway bar.
