Al I When I had the edelbrock carb on my car my motor had a deadspot from 2000-4000RPMs, Granted, the two motors are most likely very very different, but you may want to see if you could borrow someones carb and see if that makes a difference. However, that carb works GREAT on my dads 307. If you want a hand working on it, let me know its an easy enough ride. Ill come down and maybe can get an extra carb to test out on it. I agree with the others, finding out what the engine is may be your best bet at this point. If were starting out with a smogger motor, we will most likely not get anywhere without tearing it apart.
