I had a problem not getting the trans high enough to get it lined up right. But that was because I left the shifter and linkage on when I did the clutch. You might need to let the motor drop down a little so you can definitely get a straight shot in with the trans. I also had the TO bearing pop out of place the first time and that cause difficulty as well. Post up if you're still looking for people to come over and try to help.
