yea the ls2 might be worth while, but I'm trying to get a nice motor build on a really tight budget. I found a low mileage ls1 longblock on LS1tech and it's priced pretty nice. I might pick that up. Ls2 would definitely cost more money, and my current job situation doesn't pay enough to fund a major project. I'm trying to line up another job right now and if I get that, then LS2 it is!
