Yea the gearing definately makes a huge differance. I remember when I had my 97z I test drove 2 new 98 TA's to find out what the whole houpla was w/ this new LS1 lol. Wow! With those 2.73's the motor must have been under 2000 rpm at 65. Going from 2.73 to 3.73 is about a 37% increase in rpm. So if the engine was turning 1800 at 65mph, w/2.73, it will be turning at 2466 rpm with the 3.73's. Just something to keep in mind. And your fuel economy will take a real hit too.
But you sure will be able to smoke em!
