Lol they definitely check for cats. I took the vette through the insp station on rt 38 for the heck of it and surprisingly the vette passed emissions with no cats, and a blower. That is until they drove the car over the fancy camera they have and saw I had no cats = FAIL lol. Good thing I'm registering the vette back home in I'LL this month
