Cadillac only started their climb back to quality in the mid 90s with the creation of the Northstar engine and other assorted technologies. Yes it had its issues too, but it was one of the first to design a motor that could shut down specific cylinders. Yes, my friend had a late 90/early 2000 cadillac. Was a nice friggin car, but once the northstar gave it problems, he was missing his wallet. Recently priced a idle air control valve for one....300 buck mechanics cost!!
