the arm that sticks out is to hold them in place without needing to be welded, the ones you are seeing without that are probably weld in sets
I had them, then didn't, then had them again, and now don't again
When I was lowered with a poorly matched combination my car would not hook at all off the line, and was really bad in the rain. I installed the brackets and they made a huge difference in getting off the line. I ran them on the middle setting for a few autox's and they didn't change a whole lot handling-wise, not that I've had enough experience to really know. When I switched up my setup to BMR/Koni in the rear I removed them, didn't notice much difference and could still get off of the line pretty well so I sold them. I think I've replaced half of my aftermarket suspension parts with stock stuff by now hahah.
