No luck so far with this and I've spent a ton of time. Your supplier didn't have a chrome tape. Got the AutoZone stuff but it won't hold. The plastic on the door panel must have been made with lots of petroleum in it. I've tried scuffing it and I've tried using a number of adhesives between the panel and tape including super glue, crazy glue, model glue, and 3M super 77 adhesive.

Anyone else have any ideas? I'm wondering if I can put a little epoxy primer over the plastic and then use the tape over that?
