Quick Tunnel Mount TQ arm Ques.
So I installed a BMR Tunnel mount TQ arm on my 02 SS M6. While doing the install, I had swapped the rear to a 9", as well as new D/S, and sway bar. During break in and what not, I noticed a large difference when i went over bumps (something I expected). However, there's a lot of noise when I hit bumps and crap, I assume that all has to do with the new TQ arm location and poly mount for the arm.
So my question is this:
Is this normal? Does your Tunnel Mount TQ Arm make a ton of noise also?

Check the rear area of the bar where it mounts to the rear end, Fbods are notorious for that area needing clearance. Otherwise the mount will smack into the underbody.

What type of noise is it? A thump or something else. As mentioned, some clearancing may be needed otherwise it will smack the underbody.

I did do some clearancing by way of removing the seat belt for the drivers side (that's where the Arm was hitting) I also did some BFH work around where that anchor is, ill have to look further. So are you saying there wasn't an incredibly noticeable difference while swapping from stock to the tunnel mount?

That torque arm nails the trans tunnel over big bumps. If you are using the outer holes on the torque arm effectively pushing it further from the rear, you can cut the mount so only the inner holes remain thus pulling the torque arm closer to the rear and gaining more clearance from the body.

I did cut out those outer holes. Im pretty convinced its contacting the tunnel and causing the loud bang. Unfortunately, my fathers truck has made its home in the garage so my diagnosing is at a standstill.

Is the sway bar touching the rear in any way?
