my t/a et...estimate?
well in the new PHR magazine they tested my crate engine in a chevelle and it went 11.71 at 111 on 10.5 slicks with a 4.30 gear ratio and the car weighed 3380 pounds i think.
I have the same carb and intake setup that they tested and I have a little bit of headwork done ....my car is around 3500 with me in it....would it be safe to say i should have around the same et? And with a 100 shot of nitrous any ideas what the e.t. would be?
and i have 10.5 slicks as well
if this is in the wrong topic section, move it accordingly

Car & set up is optimized for the 1/4 mile . Don't expect the same times out your car yet ,no way you need a 10.5 tire on your car to run 11s

If i was to guess id say mid to high 12's with what you have now and low 12's with 4.10s

That car had a lot of weight missing too....and drag race suspension.
You need gears!

its automatic....and by driving what do you mean? i dont really drive like a dumbass...the only accident ive been in was getting rear ended by a lady and ive only been pulled over once, and thats because the cops saw my braided steel fuel line and thought i had a bottle hooked up on the street

That's not very good (not like I'm one to talk), but decent for your 2nd pass ever. Fortunately your reaction time has nothing to do with your ET.

unless you can drop the weight of the car, toss some gears in it, and get the tune exactly right don't get your hopes up. Same carb means nothing its how well its dialed in to your application.

4.10s are little much for a crate zz383. My friend has that motor ,11.90 112mph in a 80 camaro th-350 ,3.73 ,2800 stall . He had 4.10s ran 12.4 108mph . So that is why I said 4.10s is too much gear .
