I remember hearing a story of someone finding a dead NJ state trooper on the highway with a shotgun wound to the chest and shattered tinted glass everywhere, and that was when they did something about the tint laws, although i have no idea how true that is. I mean, cops can be ********** but nobody should ever get killed for doing their job, and if it helps at all, i dont mind one bit

From what I have heard. Is there was actually a lady who shot and killed a state trooper. And that is when tint law went in effect. As stated above IDK if it is 100% true or not. But I have seen a pic of this women. And I believe they said she fled to somewhere in South America. Whether this is the reasoning or just another incident. I do not know.

Exactly. Sounds like he is on the straight and narrow but some people aren't. Another example of many being punished by actions of a few, but that's the way it is.

Nothing to do with window tint.

B. I said not to quote me on it as well...... I wasn't 100% sure. That is what I heard, but if you can find the exact reasoning on it. That would be grateful.

The statute is 39:3-75, "Safety Glass." The majority of it states that all vehicles made after 1935 MUST have safety glass or "approved safety glazing" for the purpose of safety in accidents. The very last paragraph is what people get pulled over and ticketed for:

"No person shall drive any motor vehicle equipped with safety glazing material which causes undue or unsafe distortion of visibility or equipped with unduly fractured, discolored or deteriorated safety glazing material, and the director may revoke the registration of any such vehicle."

arOck, NOWHERE in the statute does it say the the side windows and rear windows are alright to tint. If it seems too dark, the officer can stop you for it no matter where it is. It basically leaves window tinting to the discretion of the officer. If you've actually seen this in print somewhere, please let me know, I'm genuinely curious as I've heard the same thing throughout my life but never actually seen it.

There is definitely a safety issue for officers when a lot of window tinting is involved, especially at night. But that's not anywhere in the statute either.

39:3-75.1 says that tinting is allowed for medical reasons.

Hope this helps.

So what do I have to do so that my doctor can proscribe me tinted windows

Didn't mean to sound like a tool bag; cop killers just make me angry, especially one that remains at large and insists that she is innocent. The car Chesimard was in was stopped for a defective tail light on the Turnpike. Three people in the car, all members of the Black Panthers and/or the Black Liberation Army. The driver was pulled from the vehicle during a pat down search, the trooper who responded as backup found a magazine (Or clip, for those who watch too much TV). He held it up for the other trooper and said, "Hey, look what I found!" Chesimard reportedly opened fire with an automatic weapon. One of the suspects was killed and Trooper Werner Foerster was shot and killed with his own gun.

She subsequently escaped from prison and fled to Cuba, where she reportedly lives. What really grinds my gears (To quote Peter Griffin) is that she had the audacity to publish an autobiography making herself out to be a hero of the "revolution against the pig powers of amerika." Today, there are many liberals of all races who still openly support this animal, which is why I get a bit touchy. Sorry again to sound like a tool bag.

Hummm thanks for the clarification. Just reading the comment seemed like it was a .. U idiot yer effing wrong comment. Although mine was dickish as well. But that definitely helps. As far as cop killing. Amen to that. I don't blame you. Sure cops are ********, but i know allot of cops as well who I'm very close with. She isn't heroic in any way. I still don't understand why we don't just march on in and nab that hoe. Screw the laws. This is America we stick troops every where else. Lets just start **** with Cuba too... Should just send someone to assassinate her.

personally not to go off topic, but the laws in this country are a joke.murderers get off too easy. Should go back to death sentence.
