Did you deduct the fees for filing from your tax return (i.e. did you use turbotax or something else to file and deduct any fees from the return amount rather than pay with a CC)? If so, you'll be getting a paper check.

Usually if you use an online tax system they charge for filing your taxes (and checking them to make sure they are accurate, and doing the efiling), and you can opt to either pay with a CC, or have the fee deducted from the refund.

If you did the tax return all by yourself and had DD, then it should come soon. But there were issues for some people because of the fees as mentioned above (supposedly there is a third party bank account involved when doing the fee deduction from the refund, which makes it impossible to give the stimulus check to your account), as well as other little things (people not getting payments for their kids, not getting stimulus checks at all because of incorrect information, etc etc).

Yeah we got ours last week and while we were planning on using it towards principle on our mortgage our plans had to change slightly.

My father in law(my 1 year olds main caregiver during the day while my wife & I work) has prostate cancer and needs to go through 8 weeks of chemo which works out to about $1800 in mortgage payments while my wife takes off via FMLA to care for him during that time

In the end it works out well though since my wife has always wanted to be a stay at home mom at least she gets a taste of it for a little while.

Too bad the circumstances surrounding things aren't what you'd want them to be.

BTW prostate cancer is one of the "better" forms he could have all things considered & he should make a full recovery without issue if all goes as planned.

Thank you IRS for TAKING my $600 bucks for back taxes!! The Gov is kinda stupid for doing that cause I woulda spent the money and still ended paying interest on what I owe.
