Salvage or not Salvage Title?

I got a 91 Camaro RS that got hit last year. Insurance company totaled the car but allowed me to keep it. Does this mean it's a salvage title now? Any help would be appreciated!

It will have one next time you go to title it/sell it, but yes.

A small 's' will be branded on the next issued title. They let just keep the car w/out buying it for a small percentage of book?

Yep I still have it. They gave me $3200 for it because of the low mileage but said it was up to me to get rid of it. The cars got 90K on the clock and has passenger side rear damage. Car runs like a clock and I put sooooo much money into it. I pulled out the damage a lot but it's gonna need a new rear quarter. Guess I'm parting it out unless someone buys it with the salvage title or if I find a roller I'll switch everything over if I got the time. Thanks for the info guys

salvage titles are not the end of the world to some people. I have bought salvage cars and have experience with the whole salvage back to clear title process.

I bought a Salvage Firehawk 4 years ago. The guy said they had to take the car to the DMV to have it inspected before it got a new S title. They had to have it towed there. Might want to look into that as well.
